The Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Centre at Rajasthan State
Pollution Control Board,Jaipur has been established under the ENVIS -
project of the Ministry of Environmental and Forest,Government of India to facilitate generation and dissemination of information on
various facets of environment of Rajasthan.
The Centre will work towards fulfillment of the following objectives:-
Creation of web based database on the State of Environment of
Rajasthan
Acting as a clearing house to answer environmental queries
To establish linkages with environmentalist, researchers,
NGO's, Students and public at large
Identification of Information/data gaps in the specified
areas of environment and action needed to fill these gaps
Publication of ENVIS newsletters for dissemination of
Environmental Information
